About The Position

Our client operates within the travel and tourism space and is continuing to expand across multiple markets. They are looking to add a Junior Accountant to their finance team someone who is comfortable getting involved, enjoys learning and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves when something needs to be solved. This is a fully remote position for a Gauteng-based candidate, offering exposure to a fast-moving environment where you can build on your accounting foundation while gaining experience across different entities and potentially multiple currencies.

Requirements

• BCom degree is essential.
• 1–3 years' relevant accounting experience.
• Strong grounding in accounting principles and financial processes.
• Experience with MS Excel and an accounting package such as Sage, Pastel, QuickBooks or Xero.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to Travel & Tourism, DMC, Hospitality or Property would be advantageous.
• Multi-entity or multi-currency accounting experience will be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping activities through to balance sheet level.
• Handle transaction processing, account reconciliations and investigation of discrepancies.
• Support the month-end process, financial reporting and preparation of finance-related information.
• Maintain accurate accounting records across multiple entities.
• Assist with both accounts payable and receivable functions as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and overall efficiency.
