Junior Account Executive, Wholesale Apparel

About The Position

The Kasper Group has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Account Executive. This role is responsible for independently managing smaller-to-mid-sized accounts and business categories while contributing to the development and execution of wholesale sales strategies. The position requires increasing ownership, independent retailer communication, and strategic business analysis.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree preferred
4–6 years related wholesale sales experience
Wholesale department store and/or major specialty retail experience preferred
Strong retailer communication and relationship management skills
Expertise in retail math, inventory analysis, and business reporting
Strong analytical, organizational, and presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel
Ability to independently manage portions of the business
Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities

Responsibilities

Independently manage assigned accounts and/or categories
Develop and maintain relationships with buyers, associate buyers, and planners
Analyze business trends, inventory performance, and selling opportunities
Drive replenishment and reorder opportunities
Participate in forecasting and seasonal planning discussions
Execute market strategy and assortment recommendations
Present product opportunities and business recommendations internally and externally
Partner cross-functionally with planning, production, customer service, and design teams
Monitor inventory, markdowns, fill rates, and shipping performance
Track and manage order execution and operational follow-up
Identify opportunities for growth within assigned business
Support market appointments and seasonal selling initiatives
Mentor Sales Assistants and Associate Account Executives as needed
Must be able to work independently while contributing within a team environment
