About The Position

We are an established apparel wholesale company seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate must have prior accounting/bookkeeping experience specifically within the apparel wholesale industry and a strong understanding of the day-to-day financial processes involved in a wholesale business. QuickBooks experience is required, and NetSuite experience is preferred.

Requirements

  • Apparel wholesale accounting/bookkeeping experience is required
  • QuickBooks experience is required
  • NetSuite experience is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Experience working with wholesale customer accounts, deductions, returns, credits, and chargebacks
  • Strong understanding of general bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other departments

Nice To Haves

  • NetSuite experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities
  • Maintain accurate general ledger and financial records
  • Handle Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R)
  • Process customer payments, deposits, credits, and adjustments
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts
  • Prepare and process vendor payments
  • Monitor outstanding customer balances and assist with collections
  • Review and reconcile customer deductions, chargebacks, credits, and returns
  • Maintain accurate customer and vendor account records
  • Assist with monthly and year-end closing procedures
  • Reconcile sales, inventory-related transactions, and cost of goods sold
  • Prepare financial reports and provide information to management as needed
  • Work closely with management, sales, operations, and warehouse teams to resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Maintain organized accounting documentation and records
  • Assist outside accountants/CPAs with year-end reporting and other accounting needs
  • Perform additional bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities as required
