Requirements

  • One year of experience performing a variety of clerical and support services to include keyboarding and one or more of the following: document or information processing, handling payments for fees, recording monies received, reconciling balances or accounts and/or scheduling meetings or appointments.
  • Ability to use a keyboard, no minimum speed.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing, calling and annotating the court calendar
  • Provide customer service to jurors and court users
  • Answering questions posed by judges, the public, clients, customers, coworkers, and supervisors in a physical or virtual environment
  • Providing excellent customer service to external and internal customers in person, over the phone, and via written communications
  • Identify customer needs and conduct appropriate research
  • Answer questions and compose routine correspondence in a physical or virtual environment
  • Swearing in jurors
  • Administering oaths to witnesses
  • Maintaining custody of exhibits
  • Operating digital recording systems accurately
  • Compile and provide data, statistical information and reports
  • Resolve technical issues
  • Recording and maintaining records of court proceedings
  • Ensure timely date entry and maintenance of information into record keeping systems
  • Completing court-related paperwork
  • Updating case information
  • Discussing daily court activities, scheduling of cases, calling of calendar, etc., with the Judge
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Operations of automobiles, light duty trucks, vans, or other motor vehicles may be required for some positions.
