About The Position

The Judicial Clerk will support and expedite legal research for the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. The role includes researching legal issues and drafting internal reports concerning the disposition of petitions for allowance of appeal. The clerk may also be asked to assist with drafting opinions. This position is well suited to a recent law school graduate or someone who began practicing law within the past few years.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of law.
• Outstanding research and writing skills.
• Superior communication, interpersonal, research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Admission in good standing to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, or admission to that Bar within twelve months of appointment.
• Satisfactory criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Law review experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
