About The Position

The Judicial Clerk will aid and expedite legal research for the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Duties include conducting legal research and drafting internal reports regarding the disposition of petitions for allowance of appeal. The clerk may also be asked to assist in drafting opinions. This position is well suited for a recent law school graduate or an individual who began practicing law within the past few years and requires outstanding research and writing skills.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of law.
• Superior communication, interpersonal, research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Admission in good standing to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, or admission to the Bar within twelve months of appointment.
• Satisfactory criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Law review experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
