About The Position

TACFI Consulting, LLC is seeking experienced JTAC Instructor/Evaluator (I/E) / Fires Subject Matter Experts to support a high-tempo special operations fires program at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. This is a pooled recruiting announcement designed to identify strong candidates for multiple fires-support roles across command, battalion, platoon, and course-instructor functions. Selected candidates will support JTAC instruction, training, evaluations, qualification tracking, range coordination, simulator support, curriculum review, and overall fires program execution. Based on background and fit, candidates may be aligned to one of several functional roles, including G-3 Air/Fires support, Firepower Control Platoon support, Marine Raider Battalion support, or SOTACC instruction. One highly qualified candidate may also be designated to perform Task Lead duties in addition to operational responsibilities. This position is contingent on contract award

Requirements

  • Previously held or exceeded JTAC-I qualification as a uniformed member under applicable service JTAC guidance.
  • JTAC-I/E qualification within the last 48 months.
  • Minimum two years of experience as a SOF JTAC.
  • Active Secret clearance on day one.
  • Ability to support instruction, evaluations, range operations, training administration, and program management in a high-operational-tempo environment.
  • Ability to report on-site at Camp Lejeune, NC.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting MARSOC, USSOCOM, or other SOF fires / strike-cell operations.
  • Experience providing JTAC instruction in classroom, live-fire, simulator, and LVC settings.
  • Experience with POI development, curriculum review, and fires training program execution.
  • Experience in range scheduling, asset coordination, and JTAC qualification management.
  • For candidates being considered for senior placement, prior Task Lead, team lead, or multi-site coordination experience is highly desired.
  • Prior service at E-7 or above is especially strong for the lead role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide JTAC instruction, training, and tracking support in classroom, simulator, live, and live/virtual/constructive environments.
  • Instruct JTACs under instruction, support mission qualification training, and assist with unit-level training as directed.
  • Conduct JTAC evaluations when qualified and directed by program leadership.
  • Support range scheduling, supporting-asset coordination, and range operations mission duties.
  • Maintain JTAC and JTAC-I/E qualifications in accordance with applicable guidance and command standards.
  • Perform Range Safety Officer duties as for training events.
  • Support qualification tracking, administrative requirements, and immediate reporting for CAS malfunctions, accidents, or incidents.
  • Assist with scheduling, training, program execution, POI development, and curriculum review for fires training.
  • For selected senior candidates, serve as on-site Task Lead responsible for daily coordination, work planning, staff oversight, and interface with Government leadership.
