Jr. Software Engineer
About The Position
At Rincon Research Corporation, our primary business is innovating, developing, and fielding digital signal processing (DSP) products and services for the United States Defense and Intelligence Communities in support of national security. Rincon Research Corporation (RRC), an employee-owned company, is seeking an Jr. Software Engineer to work in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment with similarly motivated electrical engineers, mathematicians, and analysts who are collectively responsible for creating custom digital signal processing solutions and leveraging them to make an operational mission impact. Requirements
- Degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- Proficient in modern software engineering practices for testability and readability
- Proficient in C++ and Python in LINUX environments
- Demonstrated ability to design software systems to ensure they achieve functionality, performance, scalability, and maintainability requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
- US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

- Agile development processes
- DevOps and Cloud computing Experience (CI/CD, CVE mitigations, Docker, Kubernetes, PIP)
- Hands-on experience developing or integrating AI/ML, LLM-powered, or agentic applications.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining web applications with REACT
- Experience with Git based revision control systems
- REST API design
- Experience with developing GPU code using CUDA libraries
- Familiarity with additional high-level languages (Shell Scripting, etc.)
- Current TS/SCI clearance
Responsibilities
- Designing real-time cloud processing solutions
- Implementing advanced signal processing and geolocation algorithms with efficient software
- Testing with real data
- Providing applications to front-line customer facilities
- Creating effective user interfaces and data visualization tools
- Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies
- Experimenting with new technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into RRC projects
- Working across all functional areas: systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment and O&M
- Experiencing direct mission feedback from the customer and seeing your project provide real-world contributions that make a significant difference
- Proposing improvements to applications and frameworks
- Working unsupervised with minimal direction
