About The Position

Aecon is Canada's largest nuclear constructor, employing over 2000 skilled workers and possessing 50 years of experience in nuclear infrastructure. With a strong reputation for reliability, safety, and performance, Aecon is a preferred Canadian contractor well-positioned for the development and construction of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs). The Junior Project Coordinator is a motivated self-starter who will assist in various project areas based on business needs. This role is located in Pickering.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil)
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• 0 to 2 years experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
• Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Communicate with engineering team members and engineering manager to maintain the engineering scopes work breakdown structure.
• Communicate changes/updates from the engineering team to other project groups (i.e. scheduling project controls, construction).
• Organize meetings (internal or client) as required by the engineering team and develops meeting minutes.
• Report on action items from engineering meetings for input to the Action Items register.
• Coordinate request for information to vendors/client as identified by the engineering team.
