Davidson Technologies Inc. is seeking a Jr. Kinematic Systems Engineer for its Threat Modeling Center (TMC) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The TMC develops and delivers high-fidelity threat modeling products supporting the Missile Defense Agency and its Missile Defense System. The engineer works with a team generating kinematic output data for simulated missile trajectories, delivered in Integrated Threat Products (ITPs) to Department of Defense customers, primarily the MDA. The role applies knowledge of threat-country capabilities, tactics, techniques, procedures, and strategic objectives to specific scenarios. From an adversary perspective, the engineer assigns missiles from a country's Order of Battle to targets and assigns warheads to missiles to support scenario training or engineering objectives. The engineer processes these decisions into end-to-end threat attack laydown files and generates kinematic trajectories using the TMC's Threat Modeling & Simulation Suite (TMSS). The resulting data supports U.S. missile defense activities and select foreign countries in simulations used to analyze missile defense system performance and effectiveness. The engineer reviews customer scenario requests, identifies potential issues before production, and reviews final documents and data to verify that customer objectives and specifications are met. The position also troubleshoots products and data and works closely with TMC systems engineering and software development groups. ITP delivery schedules can range from one day to six months, making flexibility, requirements identification, and time management important.
