About The Position

Journeyperson Pipefitter looking for a long-term opportunity on a major industrial project. At Ledcor, we take pride in safety, quality, and we’re looking for hardworking and reliable workers to join our team in Fort Hills. The project is conveniently located right outside of Fort McMurray.

Requirements

  • Must have a Journeyperson Pipefitter certification
  • Experience on industrial construction or pipeline projects
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to problem solve
  • Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
  • Valid class 5 driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair tailings pipelines, valves, and associated infrastructure
  • Perform bolt up, rigging, and hydro testing
  • Execute rigging operations including lifting, hoisting, and positioning pipe sections
  • Assemble and install piping sections according to blueprints and job specifications
  • Work closely with a skilled team of pipefitters and welders in a safety-first environment
  • Perform physically demanding tasks
  • Use testing equipment to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors
  • Work safely around heavy equipment in an active mine
