About The Position

Wachter is seeking a Traveling licensed Journeyman Electrician for service work for clients in various commercial and industrial environments. This role requires experience as an Industrial and Commercial Electrician and a willingness to travel extensively. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently to solve problems and complete jobs. Requirements

  • Experience as a Commercial and/or Industrial Electrician.
  • Available for travel in your state and surrounding states as needed per the job.
  • Travel could be 3 to 6 weeks at a time before coming home.
  • Flexible and willing to work on-call, day, night, or weekend shifts as the job requires.
  • Available to work overtime as needed.
  • Dependable – must show up to work on time daily.
  • Must have reliable transportation with insurance, driving your own vehicle as needed until approved for a company vehicle.
  • Safety conscious, follow all applicable PPE guidelines.
  • Has basic hand tools and PPE.
  • Self-motivated, career-minded, looking for a place with advancement opportunities.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Certified to operate a BOOM or scissor lift, and ability to work at heights.
  • Able to pass drug and background screening.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and test electrical components to diagnose problems.
  • Repair broken electrical components.
  • Install updates for outdated electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems.
  • Install new wiring or other components to fix lighting, fuse boxes, and generators.
  • Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed electrical systems and component devices are operational.
  • Ensure electrical systems meet local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements.
  • Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by Wachter, our customers, or OSHA.
  • Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.
