Journeyman Electrician
About The Position
The Journeyman Electrician performs journeyman- or master-level trade duties in construction, finishing, repair, and related work on buildings. The role includes carrying out electrical tasks on construction sites, helping oversee crew productivity, contributing to schedules, layout, and material takeoffs, and supporting equipment startup, maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and diagnostics. Employees are accountable for following company policies and procedures and for maintaining a safe work environment, including stopping work and notifying a supervisor when they identify an unsafe condition.
Requirements
- Journeyman or Master License required.
- Good physical condition and ability to stand for extended periods.
- Good dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Aptitude for technical problem solving.
- Familiarity with building codes and current laws and regulations.
- Ability to maintain clean and orderly tools and work area.
- Ability to work in high places, tight places, confined spaces, and other adverse locations.
- Ability to climb, balance, squat, kneel, and crouch.
- Ability to work in all types of weather.
- Ability to lift, move, and/or carry 50 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- High school degree or GED, or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform trade-specific tasks on a construction site.

- Requisition trade-related materials, tools, and equipment.
- Perform assigned planned maintenance tasks.
- Start up equipment and complete associated documentation.
- Perform quality control inspections.
- Perform technical troubleshooting and diagnostics when needed.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Stop work and notify a supervisor when an unsafe condition is present.
