About The Position

Wachter is seeking a Traveling licensed Journeyman Electrician for service work for clients in various commercial and industrial environments. The ideal candidate has experience as an Industrial and Commercial Electrician, enjoys traveling, and is self-motivated and reliable, capable of working independently and solving problems to complete jobs. Requirements

• Experience as a Commercial and/or Industrial Electrician.
• Available for travel in your state and surrounding states as needed per the job. Travel could be 3 to 6 weeks at a time before coming home.
• Flexible and willing to work on-call, day, night, or weekend shifts as the job requires.
• Available to work overtime as needed.
• Dependable – must show up to work on time daily.
• Must have reliable transportation with insurance, driving your own vehicle as needed until approved for a company vehicle.
• Safety conscious, follow all applicable PPE guidelines.
• Has basic hand tools and PPE.
• Self-motivated, career-minded, looking for a place with advancement opportunities.
• Outstanding troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Certified to operate a BOOM or scissor lift, and ability to work at heights.
• Able to pass drug and background screening.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test electrical components to diagnose problems.
• Repair broken electrical components.
• Install updates for outdated electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems.
• Install new wiring or other components to fix lighting, fuse boxes, and generators.
• Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed electrical systems and component devices are operational.
• Ensure electrical systems meet local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements.
• Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by Wachter, our customers, or OSHA.
• Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.
