About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Plumber to become an integral part of our team! Must be licensed to work in commercial and industrial setting. Must have the ability to decipher engineers concepts into plans for construction. Will perform copper soldering procedures, execute layouts, implement code requirements and attend progress and scheduling meetings. Must have required tools and be able to pass drug and back ground screening requirements for employment consideration. Pay is based on level of experience.

  • Journeyman Plumber License Holder
  • A minimum of 5 years to 10 years of experience via on-the-job training required
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret blueprints using English language

  • Ability to work individually or as a team to complete projects
  • Must be comfortable and able to safely work with sharp tools and power equipment
  • Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

  • Assemble pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment.
  • Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
  • Review blueprints and building codes and specifications to determine work details and procedures.
  • Study building plans and inspect structures to assess material and equipment needs, to establish the sequence of pipe installations, and to plan installation around obstructions such as electrical wiring.
  • Keep records of assignments and produce detailed work reports.
  • Perform complex calculations and planning for special or very large jobs.
  • Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, and fixtures in structures, using measuring instruments such as rulers and levels.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angle, using hand and power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, and pipe-bending machines.
