About The Position

Paschal Home Services DFW, LLC is hiring a Journeyman Plumber to repair, install, inspect, and maintain plumbing systems. The plumber will work directly with customers, explain system operation and maintenance, recommend ways to improve performance, and diagnose plumbing problems. The role also includes mentoring Apprentice Plumbers, following safety protocols, and accurately documenting work orders.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong mechanical aptitude and critical-thinking ability.
Ability to read and follow technical instructions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of plumbing tools, techniques, equipment, and codes.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues accurately.
Ability to explain technical information in a way customers understand.
Familiarity with computer software tools for timekeeping, customer billing, and payment processing.

Responsibilities

Arrive on time with a clear plan for scheduled work.
Educate customers on system operation, maintenance, and damage prevention, and offer professional recommendations to improve performance.
Complete plumbing repairs, including replacing seals, fixing leaks, and installing water heaters, water lines, garbage disposals, and fixtures.
Inspect plumbing systems for code compliance and potential issues; diagnose and resolve malfunctions.
Clear drains and blockages using specialized tools and equipment.
Operate electrical hand tools, saws, drills, brazing equipment, drain machines, and propress.
Apply technical expertise to ensure optimal system functionality.
Follow safety protocols to protect yourself, the team, and customer property.
Mentor and guide Apprentice Plumbers to build their skills.
Document work orders accurately and maintain complete, detailed records.
