About The Position
Astrion has an opportunity for a Journeyman Engineering Technician supporting the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (HNC) within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at Lackland AFB, Texas. The position is full-time, onsite, and requires a Top Secret clearance. Travel is not required. The technician supports engineering and testing activities involving hardware and instrumentation, including work with integrated aviation and weapons systems.
Requirements
- Three years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; alternatively, two years of applicable college, vocational, military, or technical school and one year of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area.
- For instrumentation specialization, complete sixteen weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques.
- For instrumentation specialization, at least one of the three years of experience must be in electronics or instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.
- Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities
- Install, operate, and maintain technical instrumentation.
- Support the lead engineer in design, installation, and production activities.
- Support local data collection on integrated aviation and weapons systems.
