About The Position
Modern Auto Company, a Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC dealership, is seeking a Journeyman Automotive Technician to join their growing service department. They are looking for a skilled technician capable of handling a wide range of diagnostics and repairs, who desires to work in a professional, team-oriented GM dealership with steady work and strong support.
Requirements
- Journeyman-level technician experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workflow
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Nice To Haves
- ASE certifications and/or GM training preferred
- Experience in a dealership environment preferred
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide variety of mechanical and electrical issues on GM vehicles
- Perform maintenance, brake work, suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and drivability repairs
- Use GM factory diagnostic equipment and service information
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
- Perform multi-point inspections and recommend needed services
- Accurately document work performed and communicate with service advisors
- Follow GM procedures and safety standards
