About The Position

The Journeyman ACT/Ceiling Installer performs skilled installation of Acoustical Ceiling Tile (ACT) and suspension grid systems according to specifications, drawings, and quality standards. The role applies technical expertise to install, fit, and align ceiling components with precision and efficiency. The installer works collaboratively with crew leads and foremen to maintain productivity and meet safety requirements, while contributing to a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment through attention to detail and craftsmanship. Requirements

High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent experience in ACT-ceiling work, or 2–4 years of experience in ceiling installation, construction, or a related field.
Completion of the OSHA 10 program within six months of hire is required.

Nice To Haves

OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Install ACT and suspension systems according to plans, specifications, and quality standards.
Use tools, materials, and equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Assist with layout, measurement, and alignment of ceiling grid systems for accuracy.
Identify and communicate site issues or material needs to crew leads or foremen for timely resolution.
Maintain work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition throughout project execution.
Follow safety policies, procedures, and best practices on all assigned tasks.
