About The Position
Learns and supports the installation of Acoustical Ceiling Tile (ACT) and suspension systems under close supervision. The role assists with material handling, site preparation, and basic installation tasks while developing technical skills and familiarity with DPR standards. The employee builds foundational knowledge of ceiling installation methods, safety practices, and teamwork essential to success in the trade.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 0–2 years of experience in ceiling installation, construction, or a related field.
- Complete the OSHA 10 program within 6 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and organizing materials and tools for ceiling installation work.
- Support crew members in the layout and installation of ACT and grid systems.
- Observe and follow instructions to learn ceiling installation techniques and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
- Follow all safety rules, policies, and personal protective equipment requirements.
- Participate in on-the-job and classroom training to develop technical proficiency.
