About The Position

We are seeking a Joint Operations Readiness (Senior) professional to support Joint SOF training, readiness, and exercise execution at the operational level. This role focuses on planning and delivering realistic, policy-informed training events, supporting readiness assessments, and integrating SOF mission requirements across joint and interagency environments. The ideal candidate has strong experience with the Joint Training System (JTS), understands SOF core activities, and can effectively support senior leaders in a dynamic, mission-driven setting.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Special Operations Forces (SOF) experience
  • Former: Enlisted (E-7 or higher), OR Warrant Officer (CW2 or higher), OR Commissioned Officer (O-3 or higher)
  • 3+ years planning and executing Joint exercises using the Joint Training System (JTS)
  • Working knowledge of warfighting functions and SOF core activities within a Joint SOF HQ environment
  • Experience managing full-spectrum readiness events aligned to CJCSM 3500.03-series
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Top Secret/SCI Required
  • 2+ years supporting Joint operations or operational-level SOF planning
  • Experience leading or supporting development of SOF training and exercise scenarios
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate multiple stakeholders into training environments
  • Recent (within the last 8 years) experience in a strategic or operational headquarters, such as: USSOCOM, TSOC, Service HQ, Joint Staff, CCMD, or equivalent
  • Serving in a command role, senior enlisted/key developmental billet, or staff planner/training lead position

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Joint or SOF training/planning roles (e.g., J7/J37 Training, J3/J35 Plans, TSOC or SOCOM staff)
  • Background as a Joint Exercise Planner, EXCON Lead/Support, Operations Planner, or Training Developer
  • Experience in readiness analysis, AAR development, or exercise control execution
  • Operational unit experience in training or plans roles at the company, battalion, group, or task force level
