SierTeK Ltd. is seeking a Joint Operations Readiness to support an opportunity at MacDill AFB, FL. We are seeking a highly qualified Joint Operations Readiness Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support Joint Special Operations training, readiness, and exercise planning at the operational and strategic level. This role focuses on designing, executing, and assessing full-spectrum training events in accordance with Joint Training System (JTS) standards and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff guidance. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in Joint SOF environments, exercise design, readiness reporting, and senior leader engagement, with the ability to operate across Combatant Commands, TSOCs, and interagency partners.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of Special Operations Forces (SOF) experience
  • Former senior leader: Enlisted (E-8 or higher), OR Warrant Officer (CW3 or higher), OR Commissioned Officer (O-4 or higher)
  • 5+ years planning and executing Joint exercises using the Joint Training System (JTS)
  • Experience applying warfighting functions and SOF core activities within a Joint SOF HQ environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing full-spectrum training events in accordance with CJCSM 3500.03-series
  • 4+ years supporting Joint operations or SOF operational/strategic planning
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Top Secret/SCI
  • Experience ensuring SOF mission requirements are represented in exercises and readiness evaluations
  • Recent (within the last 8 years) experience in a strategic or operational headquarters, such as: USSOCOM, TSOC, Service HQ, Joint Staff, CCMD, or equivalent
  • Serving in a command billet, senior enlisted advisor role, or primary staff planner position

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Joint or SOF training and planning roles (e.g., J7/J37 Training Planner, J3/J35 Plans/Future Ops, TSOC or SOCOM staff)
  • Background as a Joint Exercise Planner, Operations Planner, EXCON Lead, or Training Chief
  • Senior operational leadership experience (e.g., S3/Ops Chief, Senior Enlisted Leader, Task Force Plans/Training Lead)
  • Involvement in readiness assessments, AAR development, and exercise control execution

Responsibilities

  • Support Joint Special Operations training, readiness, and exercise planning at the operational and strategic level.
  • Design, execute, and assess full-spectrum training events in accordance with Joint Training System (JTS) standards and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff guidance.
  • Operate across Combatant Commands, TSOCs, and interagency partners.
