About The Position
This is a full-time apprenticeship opportunity at C & B Operations, a John Deere dealership. The program is designed to transform individuals into certified John Deere experts through a combination of hands-on work in the shop and in-class instruction. Apprentices will work under experienced technicians, travel to Mitchell, South Dakota for one week each month for training, and apply their learning back in the shop. The program duration is 2-3 years, depending on prior mechanic experience. The company provides tool packages and offers a path to earn money while gaining experience and certification.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and desire to learn
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment
- Ability to work full-time
- Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on John Deere agricultural equipment
- Work with diesel engines, hydraulics, electronics, and precision ag technology
- Use advanced diagnostic tools and software
- Complete digital service documentation
- Learn professional shop procedures and safety practices
- Work alongside experienced technicians who mentor and train
