About The Position

Toward Maximum Independence (TMI) is hiring a Job Coach for its Supported Employment program. The Job Coach supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at their places of employment, helping them learn tasks and workplace routines, communicate with coworkers, stay organized, and solve problems. The role emphasizes coaching rather than taking over: encouraging independence and confidence while respecting each individual's role as an employee. The program provides 1:1 support for individual placements and 1:3 support for group placements. Job Coaches work in integrated community workplaces and may support career exploration, resume building, interview preparation, job placement, and workplace skills. The position is based at Camp Pendleton. The employee uses a personal vehicle to transport supported individuals; approved work-related mileage is reimbursed at the current IRS rate. Two full-time schedule options are available: Position 1 works Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 2:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., plus Sunday and Thursday from 2:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Position 2 works Sunday through Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Compensation is $19.50 per hour.
