About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Jewelry Repair Technician / Custom Jeweler to join our growing jewelry company. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience repairing fine jewelry and the ability to create, modify, and fabricate custom jewelry pieces. This position requires someone who is highly skilled, detail-oriented, creative, and comfortable working with valuable jewelry and precious metals.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional jewelry repair experience preferred.
  • Strong hands-on experience with fine jewelry repairs.
  • Experience creating custom jewelry pieces is required.
  • Strong soldering and fabrication skills.
  • Experience working with gold, silver, and platinum.
  • Experience with stone setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong polishing and finishing skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work carefully with high-value jewelry.
  • Strong problem-solving and craftsmanship skills.
  • Professional, dependable, and organized.

We are looking for someone who can take a piece from a customer's idea or design concept through the repair, fabrication, finishing, and final quality-control process.

Responsibilities

  • Perform professional repairs on gold, silver, platinum, and other fine jewelry.
  • Perform sizing, soldering, stone setting, prong repair, chain repair, clasp replacement, and restoration.
  • Repair and restore damaged or worn jewelry while maintaining the original design and quality.
  • Create and modify jewelry according to customer specifications.
  • Fabricate custom jewelry pieces from start to finish.
  • Work with rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, pendants, and other fine jewelry.
  • Assist with custom designs, modifications, and special customer requests.
  • Set and secure diamonds and gemstones when qualified.
  • Perform polishing, finishing, and final quality inspections.
  • Examine jewelry carefully to identify damage, wear, and necessary repairs.
  • Maintain accurate repair documentation and communicate repair needs when necessary.
  • Handle customer jewelry with the highest level of care, security, and professionalism.
  • Meet quality and turnaround-time expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area.
  • Follow all company procedures regarding high-value merchandise, inventory, security, and customer property.
