About The Position

WeBuyVintage is seeking knowledgeable and enthusiastic Jewellery & Antiques Buyers to provide valuations and make offers at nationwide roadshow events. This varied, customer-facing role involves assessing unique items and purchasing directly from members of the public across the UK. Buyers attend three to four events per week and usually travel to venues within a two-hour drive of their location. Overnight stays may be required. The position offers a four-day working week, competitive pay of £30,000 per year plus commission, and mileage paid at the government rate.

Requirements

• Experience buying and/or selling antiques, jewellery, or similar items.
• Confident negotiation skills and good commercial awareness.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a personal car.
• A friendly, trustworthy, and confident manner with customers.
• Professionalism and comfort in a customer-facing role.
• Willingness to stay away overnight when required.
• Right to work in the UK for the duration of employment.

Nice To Haves

• A strong interest in gold, jewellery, silver, cameras, toys, militaria, and other collectibles.

Responsibilities

• Attend three to four roadshow events per week to value and purchase items from the public.
• Travel to event locations, usually within a two-hour drive of the buyer’s location.
• Provide every customer with a professional and friendly experience.
• Make fair offers and negotiate where needed.
• Work closely with fellow buyers as part of a team.
• Use knowledge of items to identify value and make sound buying decisions.
