JDE Integration Specialist- SDFC

IDEXCedar Falls, IA
Onsite

About The Position

IDEX's Severe Duty Flow Control (SDFC) segment, which includes business units like Viking Pump, Warren Rupp, Abel, and Richter, relies heavily on JD Edwards (JDE) as its enterprise ERP system. This system is crucial for managing product data, pricing, inventory, and order management, with data flowing to customer-facing platforms such as SAP Commerce Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and Brandfolder DAM. The JDE Integration Specialist is responsible for ensuring these integrations function correctly. This role involves designing data flows, developing middleware, monitoring synchronization health, and ensuring clean, consistent, and repeatable integrations, especially when new business units or regional JDE instances (India, China) are onboarded. The specialist acts as the technical owner of the ERP side of the integration stack, collaborating with the Group Platform Manager who oversees the SAP Commerce Cloud side.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working with JD Edwards (JDE), including configuration, customization, or integration development.
  • Hands-on experience building integrations between JDE and customer-facing platforms (eCommerce, CRM, DAM, analytics).
  • Deep knowledge of JDE data structures (product, pricing, inventory, sales orders, customers).
  • Experience with middleware and orchestration tools (Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, custom APIs, or JDE-native orchestration).
  • Proven track record managing data quality and integration monitoring in a multi-BU or multi-entity ERP environment.
  • Comfort working with offshore or regional IT teams to standardize processes across geographies.
  • Technically hands-on: ability to write code, build integrations, and troubleshoot sync failures.
  • Architecturally rigorous: ability to design scalable flows across multiple BUs and regions.
  • Data-quality focused: ability to enforce validation at the source and monitor it downstream.
  • Strong communicator, credible with both IT/ERP teams and business-side platform managers.
  • Process-oriented: ability to document work and build repeatable patterns.
  • Proactive problem solver: ability to surface issues before stakeholders notice them.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP Commerce Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics, and Brandfolder integration patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Own the integration architecture between JD Edwards and all SDFC customer-facing platforms (SAP Commerce Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics, Brandfolder, analytics tools).
  • Design and build middleware and orchestration layers for moving product, pricing, inventory, and order data from JDE to downstream systems.
  • Ensure SAP platform functions (product catalog, pricing logic, order sync, inventory visibility) operate as expected and troubleshoot issues.
  • Define error-handling, retry logic, and recovery paths for integration failures to ensure they are observable and recoverable.
  • Monitor integration health, including sync success rates, error rates, latency, and data-quality metrics.
  • Build and maintain an integration health dashboard for stakeholders.
  • Enforce data validation and cleansing rules at the source (JDE) before data syncs downstream.
  • Lead root-cause analysis for P1 data-quality or integration incidents, document fixes, and prevent recurrence.
  • Support India and China JDE implementations, ensuring configuration aligns with the SDFC standard template.
  • Design and implement US ↔ regional data mirroring for local JDE instances while maintaining global visibility.
  • Standardize processes and configurations across all SDFC JDE instances, documenting and reconciling any drift.
  • Collaborate with regional IT teams to ensure integration patterns and data flows mirror the US model.
  • Act as the primary liaison between SDFC and the IDEX corporate JDE team.
  • Coordinate platform upgrades, patches, and configuration changes impacting SDFC integrations.
  • Represent SDFC-specific integration requirements in IDEX JDE roadmap discussions.
  • Escalate and resolve cross-BU or cross-entity JDE issues requiring IDEX-level intervention.
  • Document integration architecture, including data-flow diagrams, field mappings, sync schedules, and error-handling paths.
  • Maintain runbooks for common integration incidents.
  • Build automated testing for critical data flows (product sync, pricing updates, order creation).
  • Ensure onboarding documentation is available for new BUs to integrate with JDE using the SDFC standard.

Benefits

  • Opportunities for career growth and development.
  • Diverse opportunities across various departments and global businesses.
  • A culture focused on providing trusted solutions that improve lives.
