About The Position

Provide assistance in support of the day-to-day operations of Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice, including communications, music education, research, operations, community outreach, and special projects. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in hands-on arts administration experience.

Requirements

  • Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee
  • Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program (or pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester if working in the summer)
  • Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN)
  • Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable
  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA (first-semester students are exempt until completion of their first semester)
  • In good disciplinary standing
  • Must be located in the U.S.
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills

  • Basic research skills
  • Dependable with a good work ethic
  • Willingness to learn and great customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Performing light weekly clerical duties
  • Assisting in creating content for the BIJGJ newsletter and digital media platforms
  • Assisting with JGJ programs
  • Visiting artist preparation and hospitality
  • Assisting with special projects
