The Department of Women’s and Gender Studies at Loyola Marymount University (LMU), a Carnegie-classified R2 institution, seeks outstanding applicants for the position of Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track). This full-time, 9-month tenure-track academic appointment (August – May) has an annual salary paid over 12 consecutive months, allowing for continuous benefits coverage. We welcome teacher-scholars with doctoral degrees in Women’s and Gender Studies, Ethnic Studies, or other cognate interdisciplinary fields; candidates with PhDs in other social science and humanities disciplines with designated emphases in the areas outlined above will also be considered. The PhD is required; however, ABD applicants who complete the doctorate by Fall 2027 will also be considered.
