The Department of Women’s and Gender Studies at Loyola Marymount University (LMU), a Carnegie-classified R2 institution, is seeking an Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) who values its Mission and shares its commitment to inclusive excellence and the building of a just society. LMU is a Hispanic‑Serving Institution (HSI), Black‑Serving Institution (BSI), and Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander‑Serving Institution (AANAPISI), committed to fostering people for and with others. This is a full-time, 9-month tenure-track academic appointment with an annual salary paid over 12 months for continuous benefits coverage. We welcome teacher-scholars with doctoral degrees in Women’s and Gender Studies, Ethnic Studies, or other cognate interdisciplinary fields. PhDs in other social science and humanities disciplines with designated emphases in these areas will also be considered. ABD applicants who complete their doctorate by Fall 2027 will be considered.
