About The Position

In the assigned role of Technology Consultant 2, the Java Full Stack Developer contributes to requirements elicitation, software design, development, integration, testing, production support, and documentation. The role includes building and maintaining enterprise applications with Java and Spring Boot and supporting Oracle database solutions. The developer works with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into actionable development tasks, maintain application stability and quality, and support smooth software transitions. This position is with Infosys’s Communications, Media, and Technology unit, which delivers digital transformation solutions for clients in telecommunications, media, and technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of each year of education.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot for scalable enterprise application development and maintenance.
• Experience with Oracle database solutions, including SQL/PL/SQL development, performance tuning, data integrity, scalability, and database security and engineering best practices.
• Ability to handle software development lifecycle phases from requirements gathering through implementation.
• Collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into actionable development tasks.
• Hands-on coding experience and a proactive approach to testing, troubleshooting, and application refinement.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and perform software integration.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without employer-based visa sponsorship; Infosys cannot provide immigration sponsorship for this role now or in the future.
• May be required to relocate and/or travel to the work or project location.

Nice To Haves

• Experience implementing and supporting Camunda BPM workflow automation solutions, including BPMN process modeling, orchestration, and business process optimization.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cursor, or ChatGPT to accelerate development, defect resolution, code reviews, test case generation, and technical documentation.
• Experience designing scalable, high-availability microservices-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Document assigned portions of business requirements as part of requirements elicitation.
• Facilitate software application design discussions and document design decisions for the technical team.
• Code and integrate features or updates into existing applications while maintaining system stability.
• Conduct code reviews, make codebase changes, and maintain code repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold software quality standards.
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks for transitions to new software applications.
• Help resolve production issues and recommend preventive strategies to improve system reliability.
• Maintain records of code, testing techniques, and support activities for the knowledge base and similar projects.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design, optimize, and support Oracle database solutions, including SQL/PL/SQL development, performance tuning, data integrity, scalability, and database security best practices.
