The Java Full Stack Developer will join a dynamic modernization program in Herndon, Virginia, providing direct support to the mission. The role provides engineering and programming support to projects and infrastructure support activities. It designs and develops enterprise applications in a web environment, creates and modifies general computer application software or specialized utility programs, and analyzes user needs to develop software solutions, including software customization to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Experience with Angular and Java.
• Willingness to develop and implement solutions in a dispersed team environment.
• Experience working on a Scrum team supporting the Lean Agile Framework.
• Ability to conduct routine quality assurance activities, including peer reviews.
• Experience with Git and Jenkins.
• Demonstrated experience with web service design and development.
• Experience with continuous integration, test automation, and DevOps.
• Familiarity with Linux environments.
• Ability to translate formal and informal system requirements into complex application interfaces.
• Knowledge of Java Database Connectivity (JDBC), Open Database Connectivity (ODBC), or direct database interfaces.
• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance are required.

Responsibilities

• May analyze and design databases within an application area, individually or in coordination with database development teams.
• May manage websites, including their design, development, deployment, maintenance, testing, and quality assurance.
• Apply knowledge and provide guidance across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Analyze user and business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems.
• Create advanced models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application.
• Provide analysis for reports on software project specifications, activities, or status.
• May act as a consultant across multiple programs and/or contracts within a division.
