About The Position

Innova Solutions is hiring a Java Engineer with Agentic AI experience for a contract-to-hire position working onsite in Plano, Texas, or Columbus, Ohio. The initial contract duration is three or more months. The role supports CCB Digital – Connected Banking, whose customer-facing and internally integrated SaaS platforms use AI agents to address business use cases. The engineer will be a senior-level individual contributor who performs code reviews and participates in design discussions, rather than a people manager. The engineer develops secure, high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others. The role drives adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams, using them to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes. Examples include AI-assisted code review and refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, and incident or root-cause analysis. The engineer establishes measurable validation standards for secure coding, peer review, and automated testing, and promotes reuse of proven patterns and automation within the SDLC/TLM toolchain. The role also applies knowledge of software development lifecycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value realized from automation at scale. It drives decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes. The job is open only to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. Pay is $70–$80 per hour on W-2, with the final rate based on factors including education, experience, location, duties, and certifications. Benefits are offered based on eligibility.

Requirements

Strong senior-level coding experience; generally 7 or more years.
Experience with Java or Python.
Experience with Agentic AI, including MCP, Google ADK, or building software that integrates with AI agents.
Knowledge of AI for code optimization to accelerate development.
Experience with containerization and CI/CD.
Experience with testing tools such as JUnit and Mockito, or similar.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace.
Experience with REST APIs.
Ability to perform code reviews and participate in design discussions.
Must be eligible to be engaged on a W-2 basis.

Nice To Haves

AWS experience is preferred.
Experience with Kubernetes, streaming/Kafka, and NoSQL.
Experience with alerts and monitoring.
Experience in a financial services environment.
