About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our Trading and Equities team. This role focuses on developing and maintaining low-latency or real-time systems within the trading platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, particularly in areas of concurrency, tuning, and memory management, along with proficiency in Linux/UNIX environments. Excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on software engineering of low-latency or real-time systems
• Experience developing trading platforms
• Excellent Java proficiency required, including concurrency, tuning, and memory management
• Good command of Linux/UNIX command line interface
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

Nice To Haves

• Using agentic AI for software maintenance
• Experience with container runtimes (Podman, Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with message passing systems such as Kafka and Aeron
• Practicing data-driven optimizations (profiling, metrics collection)
• Working-knowledge of CI/CD techniques
• React and GCP are an asset
