Japanese Language Teacher for Children in Novi, MI
About The Position
Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring a Japanese Language Teacher to provide in-person, customized lessons to our client in Novi. The students are three children aged 5, 10, and 13, who are complete beginners in Japanese and are relocating to Japan in August. They need to learn age-appropriate Japanese, including vocabulary, safety, and emergency information. Lessons will be held at the students' home in Novi, MI, on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 4 and 8 pm. The lesson frequency is once per week, with durations of 30 minutes for the 5-year-old, 45 minutes for the 13-year-old, and 60 minutes for the 10-year-old.
Requirements
- Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in Japanese
- Degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field
- Minimum of two years' teaching experience
