About The Position

The Janitorial Utility Cleaner performs general cleaning and utility tasks at HPU Arena. Duties include cleaning interior and exterior areas, maintaining restrooms and floors, handling trash and cardboard, and setting up and breaking down event spaces. The position also involves moving furniture and classroom items, cleaning storm drains and ditches, and completing other duties as assigned by the supervisor. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a flexible schedule between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The pay rate is $15.00 per hour.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning, including sweeping and mopping floors around machines.
• Remove metal chips.
• Clean windows and bathrooms.
• Empty trash and remove cardboard.
• Clean storage areas outside the plant.
• Use a pressure washer to clean exterior concrete areas.
• Set up and break down event setups.
• Move student chairs and desks, file cabinets, rugs, and boxes in classrooms.
• Sweep and clean storm drains and ditches, stairwells, outside utility areas, and elevator floors.
• Scrub floors, pull trash, dust, vacuum, and clean restrooms.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
