About The Position

The Janitorial Utility Cleaner performs general cleaning and janitorial work at the HPU Arena and related areas. Duties include cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, storage areas, storm drains, stairwells, outside utility areas, and elevator floors. The role also involves setting up and breaking down event spaces and moving furniture and other items. The position pays $15.00 per hour and has a Monday–Friday flexible schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
• 1–3 years of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning, including sweeping and mopping floors around machines and removing metal chips.
• Clean windows and bathrooms, empty trash, and remove cardboard.
• Clean storage areas outside the plant and use a pressure washer to clean exterior concrete areas.
• Set up and break down event spaces.
• Move student chairs and desks, file cabinets, rugs, boxes, and other items in classrooms.
• Sweep and clean storm drains and ditches, stairwells, outside utility areas, and elevator floors.
• Scrub floors, pull trash, dust, vacuum, and clean restrooms.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
