Back Half Night Janitorial Supervisor
About The Position
The Janitorial Supervisor oversees and coordinates janitorial staff and ensures cleaning work is completed efficiently and in accordance with Amazon’s cleanliness and safety standards. The role includes staff scheduling, training, and performance management; monitoring and ordering supplies; conducting quality inspections; responding to urgent cleaning needs; and maintaining compliance with OSHA, health, and safety guidelines. The supervisor communicates with facility management about cleaning needs and improvements. The schedule is Sunday through Wednesday, 5:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST. The stated pay rate is $24 per hour; actual offers may vary based on experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market data. The work involves physical activity and possible exposure to cleaning chemicals and warehouse conditions.
Requirements
- Previous experience in janitorial supervision, facility maintenance, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a large warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
