Back Half Day Janitorial Supervisor

About The Position

The Janitorial Supervisor oversees and coordinates janitorial staff and cleaning operations. The role ensures cleaning work meets Amazon’s cleanliness and safety standards, manages supplies and quality inspections, trains staff, responds to urgent cleaning needs, and communicates with facility management. The position is scheduled Wednesday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST, at $23 per hour.

Requirements

Previous experience in janitorial supervision, facility maintenance, or a related field.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a large warehouse or distribution center environment.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate janitorial staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
Ensure cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with Amazon’s cleanliness and safety standards.
Monitor inventory and order cleaning supplies as needed.
Conduct routine inspections, maintain quality, and address deficiencies.
Train staff on cleaning procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols.
Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests and emergencies.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, health, and safety guidelines.
Communicate with facility management about cleaning needs and improvements.
