About The Position

The Janitorial Facilities Technician supports production of transformers and power supplies for military and industrial applications by keeping Espey’s facility clean, safe, and well-maintained. The role provides support to production and administrative teams and requires reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety. This is a full-time, on-site day-shift position in Saratoga Springs, New York, with 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work full-time with a consistent schedule.
• Physical capability to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, crouch, kneel, or crawl as needed; lift and carry items up to 50 pounds; use hands and fingers to handle tools and materials; reach and climb ladders; and maintain balance.
• Must be able to reliably commute to Saratoga Springs, NY 12866, or be willing to relocate before starting if not local.

Nice To Haves

• One year of general maintenance or janitorial work experience.
• Ability to operate cleaning and maintenance equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces.
• Remove trash and recycling and ensure proper disposal.
• Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Perform periodic deep-cleaning tasks as needed.
• Perform light maintenance duties as assigned.
• Support upkeep of facility grounds and infrastructure.
• Operate cleaning and light maintenance equipment safely.
