JANITOR (SEASONAL)
About The Position
ESFM, the corporate Integrated Facilities Management division of Compass Group USA, is hiring a seasonal Janitor at 4700 Carpenter Road, Ypsilanti, Michigan. The position keeps buildings clean and orderly and performs heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. No experience is necessary; training is provided. The fixed pay rate is $17.00 per hour. The seasonal schedule varies by day and may be 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. or 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.; additional details are provided during the interview. Online applications are accepted.
Requirements

- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
- Dust and damp-mop floors following approved procedures.
- Move equipment and furniture to clean and return furniture to its correct placement.
- Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment, sanitize surfaces, and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
- Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the work.
- Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
- Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
- Contribute to the team and act professionally with customers, fellow employees, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
