About The Position

City Wide is hiring two janitors to work at the City of Lee's Summit Police location at 10 NE Tudor Rd, Lee's Summit, MO. The role pays $16.00 per hour. Available schedules are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., or Monday through Friday, 5:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Janitors clean assigned areas to City Wide standards within scheduled timeframes. Duties include sanitizing restrooms, emptying trash, tidying offices and common areas, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping floors and stairs. The role also involves maintaining cleaning equipment, following safety procedures, and reporting building issues to a supervisor. The work involves frequent walking and standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive cleaning motions. Employees may be exposed to cleaning supplies, fumes, dust, and moderate to loud noise.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Prior janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is highly desired.
Must have reliable transportation to and from assigned work sites, including for evening hours.
Must be reliable and punctual and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to listen to customer requests and follow supervisor directions.
Must have a smartphone that can be used to clock in and out for assigned shifts.
Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment drug screen, as well as the City of Lee's Summit background check.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned work areas to City Wide standards and complete work within the scheduled time.
