About The Position

City Wide is hiring two janitors to clean the City of Lee's Summit Police location at 10 NE Tudor Rd, Lee's Summit, MO. The role pays $16.00 per hour and is available on either of two Monday-through-Friday schedules: 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. or 5:30 p.m.–2:00 a.m. Janitors clean assigned areas to City Wide standards and complete work within scheduled time. Duties include sanitizing restrooms, emptying trash, tidying offices and common areas, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping floors and stairs. Employees use and maintain cleaning equipment and hand tools, follow safety procedures for chemicals and personal protective equipment, and report building issues or problem areas to a supervisor. The work involves frequent walking and standing on hard surfaces, bending, lifting, and repetitive cleaning motions for extended periods. Employees may be exposed to cleaning supplies, fumes, dust, and moderate to loud noise in a fast-paced environment, with limited sedentary time. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Reliable transportation to and from assigned work sites, including for evening hours.
Reliability, punctuality, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to listen to customer requests and follow a supervisor’s direction.
A smartphone usable to clock in and out for assigned shifts.
Ability to successfully complete a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Must agree to and successfully complete the City of Lee's Summit background check.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Prior janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities
