About The Position

CCS Facility Services is hiring a Janitor to keep a school campus workplace clean, organized, and disinfected. The position is located in Buda, Texas, pays $14.00 per hour, and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The janitor cleans interior areas and surfaces, maintains restrooms, handles trash and recycling, replenishes supplies, and reports unsafe or maintenance-related conditions. The role also involves maintaining a cleaning chart, following safety procedures, and closing doors at the end of the night shift. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. The work environment may occasionally involve moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, electrical-shock risk, and vibration. Noise is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Clean building interiors, including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairs, locker rooms, and other work areas.
Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
Remove stains from chairs and upholstered furniture, and keep furniture, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and moldings free of dust.
Empty and clean trash cans and ashtrays.
Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
Clean and maintain restrooms and replenish supplies in restrooms and other required areas.
Wash and clean windows and mirrors.
Empty trash and recycling containers and take them to the disposal area.
Remove trash and snow from sidewalks when necessary.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request missing materials from supervisors when applicable.
Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or conditions requiring maintenance.
Maintain a cleaning chart indicating areas cleaned and inspected.
Follow safety and precaution rules and use equipment and materials properly.
Close doors at the end of the night shift.
