About The Position

Join us as a Full-time Janitor at The Navy Inn Lemoore, CA with the Navy Exchange Service Command. Start your career in support of the U.S. Navy and our fleet at large! This role provides critical mission support by supporting NHG lodging guests with the U.S. Military across the Globe. The Navy Inn is a dedicated and driven team supporting a high-volume military lodging location, valuing excellent service to our Military Community every single day. We are in need of a Janitor to answer the call; a natural team player who will know when to utilize discretion relative to confidentiality, operational security, and other job duties that will ensure critical operational success on a day-to-day basis. You will be providing support to the NHG team by keeping the lodges clean and orderly for our military guests, as we work to make an impact across our Navy Lodging Locations and support critical initiatives across Military Bases that advance how our companies serve the best customer – our Military patrons and their families. Requirements

• Previous experience in a janitorial or a similar setting.
• Six months of experience performing cleaning tasks using standard or janitorial cleaning tools or industrial-type cleaning equipment.
• Physical requirements: Moderately heavy physical effort is used occasionally in moving setting up and working from ladders and scaffolds.
• Frequently lifts and moves objects weighing about 40 pounds and occasionally objects weighing over 50 pounds are lifted and moved.

Nice To Haves

• Physical requirements: moderately heavy physical effort, moving furniture, use of hand or industrial type powered cleaning equipment and the ability to lift over 50 pounds.
• Preferred experience performing the following: cleaning duties, to include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, washing, moving items, polishing, cleaning, removal of debris/trash, use of industrial-type equipment, etc.

Responsibilities

• Keep a clean and orderly area at all times.
• Communicate status of cleaned areas and spaces to supervisor through completion of daily assignments or property management systems.
• Responsible for sweeping and dusting assigned areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment, inspect equipment, completes some maintenance requests for broken, defective or items in need of replacement.
• Maintain cleanliness, inventory and organization of all cleaning equipment and solutions.
