About The Position

The Janitor keeps buildings clean and orderly and performs heavy cleaning duties to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role uses assigned cleaning materials and equipment, follows approved procedures and infection control plans, and performs duties in accordance with applicable federal, state, and county guidelines. No experience is necessary; training is provided. The position is part time at MDT, 37 Cherry Hill Drive, Danvers, MA 01923. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, with hours that may vary; further details are provided upon interview. Pay is $22.00 to $23.00 per hour.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash according to approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors according to approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture to clean properly and return furniture to its correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment, and sanitize all surfaces.
• Follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the work.
• Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Perform duties in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
• Contribute to the team and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
