CONVERSION REQ: Janitor I- 1st Shift
About The Position
The Janitor I ensures that production, office, lunch, and break areas are maintained in a clean and orderly condition. The role includes cleaning facility interiors and maintaining the outside perimeter, including removing snow from building entrances and sidewalks as needed. The employee must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily and take direction from the Sanitation Supervisor or Group Leader Sanitation. The work may take place in expansive, multi-shift production facilities that are noisy, wet or humid, and may range from refrigerated to ambient or warm conditions.
Requirements
- Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Frequently stand, walk, climb, or balance; some facilities require ascending or descending stairs.
- Frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds.
- Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Able to communicate and take direction from the Sanitation Supervisor or Group Leader Sanitation.
Responsibilities
- Clean production areas as needed or assigned.
- Clean bathrooms in plant and office areas.
- Clean break and lunch areas as needed or assigned.
- Maintain the outside perimeter of the facility in a clean and proper condition.
- Remove snow from building entrances and sidewalks as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Communicate with and take direction from the Sanitation Supervisor or Group Leader Sanitation.
