About The Position

The Janitor I ensures production, office, lunch, and break areas are maintained in a clean and orderly condition. The role performs cleaning and upkeep inside the facility and around its exterior, including snow removal from building entrances and sidewalks as needed. The employee must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily and communicate with and take direction from the Sanitation Supervisor or Group Leader Sanitation.

Requirements

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Ability to communicate and take direction from the Sanitation Supervisor or Group Leader Sanitation.
• Frequently stand, walk, climb, or balance; some facilities may require ascending or descending stairs.
• Frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds.
• Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Clean production areas as needed or as assigned.
• Clean bathrooms in plant and office areas.
• Clean break and lunch areas as needed or as assigned.
• Maintain the outside perimeter of the facility in clean and proper condition.
• Remove snow from building entrances and sidewalks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
