Part-Time Janitor / Facilities Maintenance
About The Position
Beloit Auction Service, Inc. is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented person to help maintain its new 55,000-square-foot auction facility in Beloit, Wisconsin. The role primarily involves janitorial duties, general cleaning, and keeping the facility clean, organized, and presentable for employees, customers, and clients. The position is part-time with flexible scheduling. Prior janitorial experience is required; facilities maintenance experience is a plus. The employee should take pride in their work, pay attention to detail, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Compensation is $17.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional responsibilities may be available based on skills and experience.
Requirements
- Previous janitorial, commercial cleaning, or custodial experience is required.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean facility.
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving cleaning equipment.
- Willingness to perform occasional outdoor duties in varying weather conditions, including snow and ice removal.
- Willingness to assist with a variety of tasks as needed.

Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain offices, restrooms, breakrooms, customer areas, and common spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors throughout the facility.
- Empty trash and recycling containers.
- Clean windows, doors, counters, fixtures, and other surfaces.
- Restock restroom and cleaning supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of auction showrooms, warehouse areas, and customer pickup areas.
- Assist with general building upkeep and preventative maintenance.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as experience allows.
- Help maintain exterior entrances, sidewalks, and surrounding areas.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance, including shoveling snow and spreading ice melt on sidewalks, entrances, and other pedestrian areas as needed to maintain safe access.
- Identify and report maintenance concerns or needed repairs.
- Perform other general cleaning and facility-related duties as assigned.
