About The Position

The part-time Maintenance Technician maintains a clean, sanitary, safe, functional, and attractive environment in living, worship, and office areas. The role is based on-site at the Beaver Falls Administrative Office in Beaver Falls/North Sewickley Township, Pennsylvania, with periodic work at the Coraopolis facility as needed. The schedule is anticipated to be Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, though days may be flexible. The position is 20–29 hours per week, with additional hours as needed, and requires availability for emergency on-call coverage during evenings and weekends. The work includes floor care and janitorial duties, trash removal, seasonal grounds maintenance and snow removal, and light maintenance tasks such as electrical, plumbing, drywall, and HVAC work. The technician supports the Felician Sisters of North America’s mission and Core Values through interactions with Sisters, residents, visitors, and employees, and helps maintain property safety and security.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills.
Availability for emergency on-call coverage during evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Two to five years of general maintenance experience is preferred.
Experience with drywall, painting, light electrical work, and plumbing repair is a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in living, worship, and office areas.
Perform routine plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.
Remove snow from sidewalks and parking lots using a snowplow, snow blower, and/or shovel.
Clean floors and carpets by vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and waxing.
Dust and polish metalwork, chrome, furniture, statues, window ledges, woodwork, walls, ceilings, and light fixtures.
Clean and maintain restrooms and kitchens in a sanitary manner.
Remove garbage and trash from buildings and grounds.
Set up and remove tables for meetings and other activities.
Move heavy furniture and equipment, and load and unload supplies.
Clean and maintain equipment and tools.
Perform routine painting and assigned mid-level maintenance tasks within the scope of the technician’s abilities.
Mow lawns, trim shrubbery, and cultivate flowers using hand tools and lawn equipment.
Make regular rounds of buildings and grounds; inspect doors, windows, and locks.
Assist with property security efforts.
Observe the condition of property and equipment and report safety hazards or conditions requiring maintenance.
Attend and participate in meetings, committees, seminars, conferences, and in-service training as directed.
Be available for emergency on-call coverage during evenings and weekends.
Perform other duties as assigned.
